Your Jill Matthews Photography Experience

Updated: Jan 2, 2020

We get a lot of questions from potential clients asking about what they might expect at one of our sessions. It’s an excellent question, especially if you haven’t done many portrait sessions in the past or if you’re coming to us as a new client. It’s so good of a question, in fact, that we figured we’d go ahead and address it right here.

We’ll start by sharing some of experience. Yup — totally taking a moment to #bragalittle. My first taste of photography was in 1993 when I opened my wedding photography studio in Knoxville, TN.. I loved the experience of photographing someone else because I was invited into all these precious once in a lifetime moments with my client. To make a long-winded story short, Jill Matthews Photography officially launched in 1993, and since then we’ve worked with countless thousands of different clients to deliver photos they’ll treasure forever.

We’ll be the first to admit that there are lots of other photographers out there, and many of them are wonderful. What sets Jill Matthews Photography apart, though, is Jill Matthews is a PPA Certified photographer. This means she has to stay current on continuing education and best business practices. Also she has to be re-certified every two years, keeping her at the top of her field. She even earned two professional photographer print merits at the print completion at Professional Photographers of Ohio. .
